ABSTRACT
The October 12, 1955 edition of the Lewiston Evening Journal carried an article entitled "Aiming Ahead of Your Target Important in Wing Shooting". In his instructions on leading a flying object, Henry Davis writes "No one can tell you how far to pass it. That you must figure out by trial and error. When you hit, you are right. When you miss, the odds are that you didn't pass it far enough." This advice applies almost word for word in the world of computing innovation. This seminar uses examples to illustrate leading the target in computing theory, software development and technology companies.
